Walcot House

The room was to a very high standard with an ensuite shower/toilet. The units in the bathroom were again to a high standard. Breakfast choice was very good. Warm welcome and service without being intrusive. Only criticism was the blind in bedroom didn't fully drop and being only 4ft.11inches tall the mirrors in the bathroom were too high.

Room was perfect, very clean just what you need after a long day. Service was A* . Robs service was amazing. Loved the breakfast very high quality breakfast. Just what you need for another long day. Location is brilliant too and free parking is a bonus.

Highly recommend. The owners are very welcoming and helpful and that made my stay the more enjoyable. Good house set in a lovely local area, near to the New Forest. Lovely dining room, great breakfast with a dozen or more hot offerings, including 2 fish and a few vegetarian choices. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that the shower in my shared bathroom wasn’t good. The others may be...?

Welcoming guest house. Lovely location. Rob and Denise were perfect hosts. We were a party of four couples. All our rooms were double with ensuites. They were all clean and fresh. Complimentary tea and coffee and shower gel and shampoo. We all had a comfortable night's sleep. Seven of us came down for breakfast all ordering different items. We were all served at the same time. The food was hot and delicious. Rob was on hand offering more tea and coffee if required. Rob was very attentive to us, we were all relaxed and all plates were empty at the end.

Room was clean, well kept. Hosts where flexible and friendly, accomodated a late arrival, good breakfast selection, including gluten and dairy free options. Only complaint was small shower that did not stay at temperature very well. Good parking.

A lovely guesthouse just outside of Southampton. It was easy to locate, there was plenty of parking, and the host was very welcoming and friendly. The bed was comfortable, the room was a good temperature, and the breakfast in the morning was top-notch! Highly recommended!

We have stayed here several times before and the reason we keep retuning is because of the quality of the stay. Very comfortable rooms and they accommodated us in a family room which even with two adults and two teenagers was plenty big enough. Unlike most places the tea tray was replenished every day and also they let us use there fridge for some of our own food. Will definitely be going back and almost forgot to mention the breakfast 1st class. Many thanks.

Have stayed here many times now and is a favourite now with my company. Lovely clean rooms and clean facilities. Breakfast was quick and lovely. Can’t fault the place. The bed is better than my own. I always get the same room when ever I return and is now home from Home for me.
